Oil India Limited has extended their support to help us create a positive and nurturing environment for young minds across the State of Meghalaya. Their contribution reaches 40 schools in the state.
The project will organize activities led by young individuals within campus communities, aiming to foster a culture of mental wellness. These initiatives will empower volunteers and mentors to provide frontline support for addressing mental health concerns among peers.
Volunteers and personal mentors will undergo comprehensive training to effectively support individuals struggling with mental health issues. This training will focus on building skills in active listening, empathy, and crisis intervention.
The project aims to equip educators and parents with resilience and empathy, enabling them to engage effectively with students and cater to their diverse needs. Workshops will be conducted to provide tools and strategies for fostering supportive environments at home and in educational settings.
Through mental health counseling camps and interactive sessions, students will learn practical techniques for self-calming and managing anxiety. These sessions will provide a safe space for students to explore their emotions and develop coping mechanisms.
Confidential counseling and medical assistance will be made accessible to students through telehealth services. This ensures that students have access to professional support whenever they need it, regardless of their location or schedule.
Workshops involving parents, guardians, and educators will focus on co-curricular activities aimed at boosting self-esteem and social skills among students. By involving the broader community, the project aims to create a supportive network committed to nurturing the mental well-being of all individuals involved.
