When considering adolescents and their mental health, I reflect on how frequently their mental health challenges are dismissed, leading to feelings of shame regarding their experiences. Often, their struggles are deemed as insignificant due to their youth, resulting in neglect. Yet, it is during this crucial developmental stage that if we do not listen, we leave them vulnerable to a range of mental health issues as they transition into adulthood.
